ECONOMY & MARKETS

Wells Fargo again comments on supply chain issues in its Weekly Economic and Financial Commentary.

The Perryman Group comments on the 2020 Census and the effect it will have on Texas going forward in Dr. M. Ray Parryman’s syndicated column, “The Count.”

BOOK SPOTLIGHT

The essence of any good salesperson is the ability to solve problems.  The problem they really need to solve, however, is one seen in a thousand sales presentations every day.  The salesperson shows up, give a canned presentation, throws out a feature dump, never asks for buy-in along the way, and then accepts “we’ll need to think about it and get back to you - do you have something you can leave with us?” as an acceptable end to the meeting.  WRONG!

Two books spotlighted in this newsletter will get you on your way to asking better questions so you can close more deals, and fully serve your customer while doing so.

“Ask Questions, Get Sales” by Stephan Schiffman, and

“Asking Questions, The Sandler Way” by Stephan Garrido

AND DON’T FORGET…

Minor League Baseball finally got underway this month.  The Round Rock Express, owned by the Great Nolan Ryan, play in Round Rock’s Dell Diamond.  A night at the ballpark is a great way to enjoy the spring and summer evening in TX!  Also, keep in mind that Ryan recently opened Goodstock, by Nolan Ryan, a boutique butcher shop just a block from the stadium.
