Dallas Business Journal interviews Hillwood President, Mike Berry, regarding the economic impact of AllianceTexas.  

Hillwood also reported to the Ft Worth City Council on March 9th stating that the 27,000-acre master-planned community generated almost $92-billion of economic impact in 2020.

Business Insider reports that the real-estate investing marketplace, CrowdStreet is moving in Corporate HQ to Austin

The Dallas Morning news reports that “Global investor Round Hill Capital purchased the 445-unit Courtland Allen Station apartments.” The London based investor has been active with $250-million in purchases by its US Residential and Income Growth Fund recently.

REBusiness Online reports that Walker Real Estate, Chalk Hill Ventures Complete Active Adult Community in Georgetown, Texas.

NewsTalk TX reports that Herman & Kittle Properties Inc. is developing River’s Edge Apartments, a 300-unit multifamily community In New Braunfels.

 

ECONOMY

Texas A&M Real Estate Research Center reports that the February Winter Storm Ended 9-Months of Texas Job Gains.  Full data available at Texas Workforce Commission.

The Tesla Effect.  The San Antonio Express News reports that “Tesla supplier plans to open North American HQ and hire 50 workers on San Antonio's East Side.”

NEW AREA ATTRACTION

John Wayne – An American Experience opened as a permanent exhibit in Dec. 2020.  Located in the Ft. Worth Stockyards Historic District, it is a 10,000 square-foot exhibit structured to give an intimate portrait of the life of John Wayne.  I’ve visited the exhibit a couple of times already and it’s a great addition to the Stockyards.
